  Its obsession with the criminal and the deviant makes us less trusting people. Its obsession with the hurry of the day-to-day makes us less reflective thinkers. Its obsession with surfaces makes us shallow.

  新闻对于犯罪和不正常人群的执念，减少了我们对他人的信任。新闻对于信息快餐化的迷醉，减少了我们成为审视熟虑思想者的可能。新闻对于表面现象的执着，使我们变得浅陋。

  其中的 obsession 让我想起乐队 The Shadow Project 在 Voices 中所不停自言自语到的：

• 请病人不要随便死在走廊上

  最后我会告诉他，活着本来可以是快乐的，如果不再赋予生活本不具备的意义，拿死亡之类的事情开玩笑，也不太把“如何度过一生”当回事，只不过我们很难做到这些而已。如果不像别人那么乌泱乌泱地在走廊上跑来跑去的话，活着本可以是简明、安静和值得尝试的。
